Yep, and unfo to my knowledge we cannot adjust that, it's only on Valve's side, and I argued over 3 months over this, with screenshots and powerpoint presentations lol(not with that, but I explained thoroughly why it shouldn't rely on Proton)

Hi Hannah, I have explained this to Valve 20000 times and I get the "we created Proton to allow players to play the games". It's a miracle they got us out of Steamdeck lotcheck. Anyway the TLDR is: play Steamdeck natively if possible. Proton uses the windows version.
