Day 12 at mikes place. Forgot to take a picture. But this was quite nice.

Pct is going pretty well. Feeling like I might need to speed up a bit. But I’m not super worried about it. So refreshing to be having fun the first week on trail.

This one I like. Foreground leaves a little something to be desired I think. But, I like the first set of mountains and the sky a ton. Will have to retry this one again soon.

Day 10 I think. Which I suppose means I missed one. I actually like this one. It’s not perfect, but it’s a painting at least.

Day 6. Didn’t get even close to a good one on this try. Did it from my sleeping bag. Which is a recipe for failure for sure.

Painted these day 7 in Julian. Skipped day 8. I think I’ll try these sunsets again later. Order is all silly

Day 5. At a very nice picnic area. Not entirely sure I painted the tree I was actually seeing. But I like the way the painting turned out. So I think plan will be to leave this one alone and try again next time.

Day 4. Jack rush is very pretty.

Start of pct. Mile zero 5/5. Camping at Cleef. This tree is kinda amazing. Trying a new technique.

Little skunk journal. I wish I liked my handwriting more. But I think the painting is actually quite good. Captured impression of the little one.

Sky studies, based on etchr class “mastering watercolor landscapes”. Upper left to bottom right. Wet on wet, w on dry w spray bottle, puddle the cloud, then paint around, pull with a napkin after painting simple graduated wash.

I really love walking around my local picnic oriented park. River is amazing, so green. Lewisville park is amazing.
