The map in 2022 was rejected as a partisan gerrymander. Maybe the composition of the court has changed enough since then that would let them gerrymander more aggressively, but I’m not sure.

Pretty sure the legislature can draw its own maps as it did in 2022 and 2024 after rejecting the commission’s proposals. redistricting.lls.edu/state/new-yo...
