Rent control is not a great option, but at this point theres not many options left. Rent is absolutely out of control. What were doing now is not working so what were left with are imperfect solutions.

We need a new party to oppose republicans, democrats arent it. Not only do they have no spine, but theyre just as entrenched with the coporations and oligarcy as anyone. How could anyone trust them to get behind right now when biden kept garland for 4 years and did nothing?

Exactly. It only gives a say to the people near by and not the people who would be living in the new house/apartment or the rest of the people in the city/state/country who are affected by the blocked housing causing everybodys rents to skyrocket.
