That's it for now, I'll add more as I think of them

Blade Runner is a good one for overall feel (Dystopian chic with a sassy attitude and dry narration)

The part where Deckard speaks to the computer is definitely a thing...

Of course, we must not forget 2001: A Space Odyssey, and 2010: The Year We Make Contact.

Those movies were 100% fiction the day they were released.

We're down to maybe 50%. HAL exists, for all intents and purposes. Be on the lookout for monoliths?

A not - so - great but illuminating movie would be Jupiter Ascending. Don't watch for the acting. Or the plot, really.

Watch for the view into intergalactic oligarchy. That's the real lede here.

If you want a *great* sci-fi action thriller about what is likely Coming to America, read Fall, Or Dodge in Hell by Neal Stephenson. The first half is largely set in "Ameristan." Nuff said.

The closest I've heard is that some are flying very low, making it easy to see that they're large, but I haven't personally seen any videos that definitively confirm any sightings

The profit margin on code that doesn't work will drive quickly towards zero, and the difference between useless AI-generated code and functional code is an experienced human software engineer

I'm afraid a lot of destruction will happen in the space between those two things

PS- note the title of the OP: "Venture Capitalist"

NOT

"Credentialed AI researcher"

This breathless take is like saying ditches started digging themselves after the invention of the shovel.

Yes, AI will be another tool in the toolbox for experienced software engineers. The notion that the "cost will be driven to zero" is nonsense.
