For years Chicago has deserved a leader like Mayor Brandon Johnson. Daily he stands up to Trump’s threats. Our Mayor looks out for workers and regular Chicagoans. He wants to tax the ultra wealthy a little more (they can afford it) and not regular people. This is the Mayor we have deserved.

The Department of Homeland Security’s Twitter feed is absolute propaganda. After ICE leader Greg Bovino was ordered by a federal judge to not harass children on Halloween the DHS Twitter feed claimed they “wouldn’t back down to anarchy in Chicago”…
ICE makes Chicago unsafe.

Teaching is no longer just about teaching our students, it’s about keeping them safe from Federal Agents & ICE. We have to create safety plans with students/families to keep the children we teach safe from masked men being sent to Chicago unwanted by Trump. This is not normal.

I’ve read a few articles about @ctulocal1.bsky.social Pres. Stacy Davis Gates becoming Pres. of the @iftaft.bsky.social and every article plays into the racist angry Black woman tropes when talking about Stacy. Limited attempts to humanize her. This is a labor town after all-we should do better.

Our Federal Government is attacking our students & families in Chicago. Educators are not only doing all the requirements of teaching we are also creating safety plans with the community to keep our students safe from harassment and harm. None of this is normal. #AbolishICE

I’ve been thinking about why Trump is so obsessed with Chicago—then remembered it all started in 2016 when we shut his rally down.

The biggest threat to Chicago is Trump.
ICE has lied, shot & killed. ICE cannot be believed and we must treat their statements as propaganda.
Our Fed government attacked an apartment building. Our govt. continues to disappear people.
Thankfully, Chicagoan’s are not going for it!
