I don't know. All I'm saying is it seems like it could've been made to fit together nicer, but Nintendo just didn't want to put that effort in. I mean just look at the explanation for sheikah tech being gone in ToTK. I love Nintendo, but they aren't exempt from scrutiny when they do something silly.

Having Sidon say something like "my sister may be gone here, but at least she lives in another world thanks to our efforts against the calamity in the past." Then the fact that Terrako is never mentioned at all. You'd think Zelda would mention the little guardian she built as a child in her diary.

And I guess this mostly stems from ToTK not mentioning any of the events from AoC. If any of the current champions acknowledged traveling through time to save their ancestors, then I'd have less of a gripe about it all.

The game was advertised as telling what happened during the calamity. What we got was an alternate story, a "what if?" scenario. And yes timeline splits are nothing new to this franchise, but not in a game that was sold to us as being a direct tie in prequel.
