Bluesky search results are more relevant than we knew
Bluesky search result for the string "shit is the piss of the rectum," brings back only one result, which is a photo of Kanye West wearing a light blue hoodie with the words "I love Dungeons and Dragons" on it in bright red Gothic font with black borders, and a bright red heart shape used instead of the word "love." The image, which is irrelevant to the question whether shit is indeed the piss of the rectum, is posted by the Bluesky user @itsjustbroski.bsky.social, with the caption "A cool fact about descriptive texts on photos, has alt text which points out that alt text can contain as many as 2000 characters, which the poster, at a loss for material, then uses to post the X-rated lyrics to a song by Genghis Swan containing the words "shit," "piss," and "rectum." This is all well and good, but it thwarts my research into the origin, which I believe to be Bluesky, of the saying "Shit is the piss of the rectum," to the detriment of current and future scholars, who will certainly wish to shed light on the background of such an insightful statement. I do believe that Kanye West is highly relevant to the topic at hand, so the search results are far from irrelevant, but it is interesting that this is the only search result returned for this particular query.

I was 6 when I saw this. It’s still terrifying.

Pictures of text, which are popular for posting putatively provocative statements which the audience agrees with, tend to generate more engagement than an equivalent text post. But most (all?) screen readers can’t read them. So please include alt text with such posts.
