Can't they just fill in missions in the timeline? This just doesn't seem like a major problem

Interesting. I thought they could vote to remove him. I suspect we'll find out!

I had one recently and the tech was *awesome* - it was her idea. She said I wasn't allowed to just take it off, so we compromised because she agreed it was silliness. (Diagnostic ones take more shots and I was getting cranky, so it was good for a laugh at least!)

If they insist I can't just take the thing off, capes are clearly the solution. It's such a dumb process in all ways.

I mean, he can be removed as minority leader by the Dem caucus, which is what most (sane) people want. That's a caucus vote. Expelling a Dem from the senate right now would be stupid, even if he does suck.

I am increasingly mad I live far away. You get paid for book loans in PIE?! I need better friends clearly!

Whelp. Sure seems it from that.

Yeah this is more an AAR with the base screaming for resignations because they absolutely did not do their jobs. Recriminations is what you get after someone burns dinner, not sells out half the country's healthcare.
November 11, 2025 at 12:17 AM
Yeah that's not happening. The caucus sold all of us out and tried to yet again use Feds as an excuse. This isn't "recriminations" - it's the base telling you've we've lost faith in a party that won't fight for us or the country.

Yessss. That is my favorite!! I support this reordering.

I so want that lecture too. I have a cheap machine that does what I need, but it forever requires adjustment and is deeply annoying. I may suck it up and take one of our 1950s or earlier ones even if they weigh 80lbs.
November 10, 2025 at 8:10 PM
Yeah agreed. My mom just got an incredible one she saved up for, but it was insanely expensive and we still use the 1950s one for canvas and leather. They all have plastic cases now, which sucks.

So basically the song skips over that this was a man-made disaster and the crew was killed by negligence?
November 10, 2025 at 3:25 PM
I have also heard a few people say they had been encouraging their unions to push for the ACA deals and are furious that they're being blamed. I think union leadership may be really out of step with members if they really did encourage this.

I think the addition to this is that decent quality basic things have gotten much more expensive even as their disposable counterparts have gotten cheap (shoes, clothes, appliances). So the gap has increased with the quality declining on the low end and recently variation decreasing too.

The US not having recall votes for Federal positions is a massive and damaging mistake. I mean, so is not using a parliamentary system that encourages coalitions, but that one is harder to get people to see.

I am SO glad I saw your post before his because I would have lost my mind. The idiot also needs to be introduced to the Vimes theory of poverty explained through boots.

What if his staff sees everyone discussing what a chance he has to cause utter chaos among the Dems and he votes no when he gets there?

(I'm going to hold this fantasy for the 30+ minutes it'll take him)

If you have time, read the book. It is heartbreaking and chilling.
