"Behind the Supreme Court’s Push to Expand Presidential Power"
The Supreme Court does not properly “push” to do anything, yet this time, for once, the Times' headline writers hit fairness on the head.

DOJ’s political turn under Bondi has turned its work to junk. Strategic ignorance of basic facts in court hearings. Petulant language in motions and briefs. Bad faith refusal to comply with discovery obligations. The once great Justice Department is unworthy of trust by courts.

Congressional Dems really need to rethink their caution. As Ezra Klein says, the emergency is here; the next election may be too late. Speaking from experience, "the base" has had it with cowards.

Bondi’s politicized Justice Department forfeited in days credibility earned by others over many decades. Briefs in high profile cases are consistently garbage. Strategic ignorance in hearings is now a virtue, while candor to the court is a firing offense.

DOJ’s political turn under Bondi made its work on the JGG case junk. First, the seemingly strategic ignorance of basic facts in Monday’s hearing, then the petulant language in the stay motion filed yesterday. A severe blow to credibility of the Department earned over many decades.
