Ok so not related to merging PRs but in this article of yours: stack-auth.com/blog/on-java... I see an error: all the decimal codepoints are prefixed with "0x".

...if you remember this book it's that font they used for the code examples and things. While what's shown here doesn't have slashed zeroes or anything, I'm producing coding and "regular" variants. You might like it. (Or not.)

Reproducing Typewriter mostly fixed this by shortening the serifs and opening up some of those apertures (but not all of them). In my opinion a few small modifications could make this a decent coding font. As a matter of fact...

Most of those faces had long, close-together serifs and narrower apertures, as on real typewriters; this could cause readability issues at lower point sizes or where reproduction machines could distort the text enough to "bleed" the serifs together or close the apertures.

So, back in the early 1900s, if you had a Linotype or Monotype machine, you could get typewriter style typefaces if you wanted to simulate typewritten letters, like for adverts and such. There were fonts based on Underwood, Remington, Smith-Premier, and a few other ones. From a 1923 ATF catalog:
