Is it reasonable to suggest that someone using GenAI to create a placeholder that they then forget to remove is different from actually using GenAI that is intended to stay in the game? This in addition to the Dev itself patching it, which indicates it wasn't supposed to happen in the first place?

Because Twitter became a complete cesspool. Watching someone literally comment on the weather and be attacked in the replies for absolutely no good reason, raised my blood pressure unecessarily. People will be people, but so far, much better here.
