@dschwarz.bsky.social
I actually agree with some of his agenda items and i'm looking forward to seeing them implemented! So far, his high level picks seem good, his Deputy Mayor worked for DiBlasio and knows Albany. But I'm worried about him bringing a lot of DSA-NY people into the administration.

He's not going to destroy NY. But his background is DSA-NY, SJP, BDS. These organizations have antisemitism baked into their ideologies. I've seen he is capable of recognizing and speaking out against right wing antisemitism. Will he do the same against left-wing antisemitism? That's a concern.

I didn't see her post. I have her blocked, and I think everyone's feed would be improved if they had her blocked as well.

But Braun will be treated by the press and the public as a victim of the system, rather than an adult who is responsible for his actions. The attack ads won't be effective like the Willie Horton ads were. I'll give you one guess why.

Mask up and go in. Or go to urgent care. That $15 covid test isn’t going to write you a note.

These can't be used in the US yet, right? R290

Do they offer poutine at the food court? The ones in Ontario do. This is what I miss in US Costcos.

These tools don’t scale particularly well so they’re used against individual high value targets. Like the leaders of a protest. Stingrays are more useful to track participants in mass protests.

So many dumb responses in this thread. You think KBJ wants to starve people? She knows exactly who she’s dealing with on SCOTUS.

Power is the point. How many government officials worldwide could he buy?

How is Schumer's vote (or non-vote) for NYC mayor "enabling Netanyahu to ethnically cleanse a people?"

* THE ONLY CANDIDATE WHO WANTED TO BE MAYOR applied to the general election, not the primary.

Mamdani's advantages: (1) very charismatic (2) has extensive media traning (3) smart, and thinks on his feet (4) was THE ONLY CANDIDATE who clearly wanted to be Mayor! These factors outweighed all others IMHO, and are not easily transferrable to other candidates and races.

That’s not pessimism, that’s history.

The code for DirectFile is public domain and available on GitHub. With updates for the current tax year, it could be used again. As for infrastructure, I assume it would run in a Government cloud without a lot of trouble. github.com/IRS-Public/d...

Eh, it’s New York, go whenever you like. And you can find it out if the inspection servers are taken down at night to run a batch, or something

I’ve seen it used by Jewish authors in historical works? I don’t think it’s a pejorative per se.

He’s still a SJP+BDS supporter. He says that he would discourage the “globalize the intifada” language. That’s the only thing I can think of that he explicitly disavowed. Do you know of other examples?
