Hopefully this is a wake-up call which will enable swift cross-departmental action on renewables, grid enhancements, and planning reform. The UR still has no remit on climate change. We still dont have smart meters that could enable greater renewables use.

Hopefully they will appeal. The grounds seem mostly on the Climate Change impact. Its unfortunate that the department has dragged its heels on any substantive interventions on zero-emissions transport.
