Stream Elements is just a Browser Source for me. Is there a plugin you have? I just put in the URL for the overlay which should work everywhere.

Running or installing? Installing software can be very different but running it just requires double clicking the launcher. As long as you are pulling from a repository it is straightforward. Pulling it out of a tarball is a bit advanced though.

Yep and just being able to update literally everything when you set your repos with a single command. (I still do restart for stuff like the graphics driver though).
