I’ve never judged a book by how a cover feels but this is the winner
Robert Bloch’s Psycho. The cover depicts the shower scene with a 3D indent of a slashed curtain over Mary’s shoulder. Inside the dent is Mother holding a knife. The slash cuts through the author’s name so only the title is readable. The two layers are glossed and smooth as one.

Psycho 3 really has stunning cinematography. (And for a number 3, the story ain’t half bad either.)
