Had me hooked, I’d not enjoyed a full album listen through like this since “A Thousand Suns” and I was loving every second.

Emily and Mike and Joe and Brad and Dave and Colin.

All of you made the comeback as awesome as it could have been,

And now I’m pushing past how much of an introvert I am…

The day before the new album “From Zero” was to release

A new 50 date world tour

They were coming back in June 2025 to play Wembley!

My goal was set, and then fully confirmed once the full album released that midnight

The entire 30 minute listen-through from track 1 to track 11…

The initial tour announcement had me excited, but with how short notice it was, I couldn’t make the show as the O2. But I kept following, kept my attention locked on what was being announced, week by week,

Single by single

“Heavy is the Crown”

“Over Each Other”

“Two Faced”

Then came…

A livestream spelled it all out, September, they announced they were coming back.

New drummer, new lead vocalist, but same old LP in my heart!

“The Emptiness Machine” gave us a hint of what the last couple of years had been like to prepare us for this day, and I was immediately hooked and ready…

August 2024, after several years of glimpsing Mike Shinoda doing solo work aswell as unreleased tracks reminding us all why we missed Chester so much….

The band was planning something

A comeback?

I was hopeful, but also mildly skeptical

Was there any point? What could they bring to the table?…

Were devastated beyond belief. One of my favourite vocalists of all time, who’d allowed me to express my inner pains and despairs in ear ripping screams and harmonies, was gone…. As was my chance to ever see my favourite band live, ever again….

Or so I thought?

But… as we all know, the arena was bombed in a terror attack, and LP never came to Manchester for that gig (I hadn’t bought a ticket, but I was tempted)

And then in July, 13 days after they should have played Manchester

Chester took his own life

I, as well as most of the rock/music world…

For me; “Invisible”, “Battle Symphony” & “Sharp edges” were some particulars that got me through.

I decided after it came out that I wanted to get myself out to one of these gigs at the “One More Light” tour, to which I wanted to pop by Manchester for the event at the Arena near Victoria Station…

Back to a more heavier metal vibe with “The Hunting Party”, I kind of wavered. “Guilty all the Same” was a decent track, but the album as a whole didn’t grab me.

Then “One more Light” came out and I was as average to it as most fans were, but I didn’t hate it, some tracks were regular listens…
