It was important to highlight the role of stigma and ableism in navigating this serious health condition within the athletics space. Please look up these athletes and their stories. There is a lot we didn't have space to address here.

With every revision, a ton of new research would be published and many new athletes would share their #LongCovid stories. Capturing the lived experiences of athletes & informing our colleagues about the importance of recognizing these symptoms was key.
