Will Jimmy Kimmel be allowed to say whatever he wants about Trump whenever he wants? Or will he be censored whenever Trump makes an angry call to his billionaire media mates? Disney is now known for this attack on free speech. Trust is quickly lost and takes a long time to recover - if it ever does.

Trump’s MAGA already has Fox News onside and is about to have CBS and CNN as well. To say this is an absolute disaster for journalism, and in turn, democracy is an understatement.

The New York Times has become a pathetic newspaper. Their headlines “Trump says” are just press releases for Trump - stenography, not journalism. Without strong and brave journalism, democracy dies. It’s not often you see strong and brave journalism at the New York Times, particularly about Trump.

My father had early onset dementia and had a series of mini strokes before dying of a major stroke at age 78. For this reason, I know how someone looks and behaves after mini strokes. There is something seriously wrong with Trump.
