Heading to Dublin for EFGC, waiting in terminal 2. picked up some fortnuf and Mason loose leaf tea and ginger biscuits. It feels weird to be traveling when so much is happening but I also need a break. When every day feels like an emergency, just doing my job feels like an act of resistance

No whales but the ride was good. Not fog but rather smoke from the new Hughes fire. From here it was beautiful. Needed something in the face of all that is horrible right now😮‍💨

I’m cleaning my office and rearranging my magnet collection. I buy them as travel mementos. I’m never buying another one of these 😆

Last day of lecture is always bittersweet. I’ll miss teaching but also glad to have some more time for research 🥹

I’m not great at social media, tend to lurk and avoid posting. The bad place got toxic, threads was just sad, and Substack required actual work 😂 but so far I’m liking 🦋 and the science. I need all the hope I can get right now!
