Quick Wikipedia search shows that a minstrel is indeed an old medieval term for musician and entertainer. Yes, “Minstrel” has racial connotations in the US because of its brutal history with slavery, but the word itself has several different contexts and Bree did not allude to blackface, etc.

I’m an effective altruist dude. I’m using my McDonalds paychecks to make THIN BLUE LAND, the fully immersive VR metaverse for cops. It’s supposed to be a meditative therapy tool for police departments (all NPCs lunge for the player’s firearm, and everything is labeled “Febtanyl Juice”)
