It was really nice and even had custom overlays for certain games like borderlands 2.

not gone higher than 240 and that was at a LAN party I had with some friends. didn't really notice much compared to 144. its diminishing returns.
I can get why e-sports pros would care (its their income) but for anyone else there's not much point for the money it costs.

yet somehow in the first few days 75% of my feed was porn with much of it being kinda fucked up (most of it was cub porn but also scat and urine stuff)

personally though i always aim for 144fps at 1440p.
if you actually want snappier responses from pvp games id suggest looking into lowering ping. your ISP matters a lot here.

next time grab an amd gpu, those are more efficient and have less heat problems. also longer battery life due to lower wattage

what in the name of fuck are you doing to need 300fps? source engine can just barely handle that, no point in it.
I don't reckon cpu/gpu is the problem here, rig is overkill.
Check your ram freq and SSD read speeds. dont be scared of downgrading RAM for higher clockspeed. 4 4gb sticks > 1 16g stick
