I would say, don’t worry about what programming language, just pick one and start learning and building.

Yes I see this package has been moving along and some areas like agents are still in development. Can’t wait to play around with this and hopefully use this in a production app.

I would say kinda. What I would change is making sure whatever problem is presented to the candidate is that they work through the problem together. In my experience I have felt anxiety as they just sit there in silence or not provide any feedback as I work through the problem.
