I read “Blood Meridian” over the holidays. Not a festive read. Cormac McCarthy like Alice Munro is having a posthumous moment of controversy. But The Judge is the most intriguing anti-hero I have encountered in a long time. I am very curious about how John Logan will adapt the novel for the screen.
