You mean like a maths problem? "If your three ex spouses are located at these locations on the surface of an oblate spheroid, find the location on the surface that is furthest from all 3.

So it was just an exercise in getting the double long lap out of the way then.

12, 13, 14 and 16 have got to be the man himself...

This saddens me, I love the small capacity prototypes! They're so pure. I'm assuming this is partly a knee jerk reaction to realising how ruined they would be when KTM was looking like the company might fold?

This had me on a train of thought about modern superbikes. This year's Assen BSB round the pole lap was as fast as Casey stoners pole lap in 2008. Could you imagine if 2008 MotoGP went to cadwell park?

Will he run a wingless bike again?

Maybe 750cc 4cyl bikes versus 1000cc twins could work. If only there was a race series that tried it...

It's interesting to me that people are buying bikes with similar power to a Ducati 996, the 90s clearly had it right by blind luck! Modern superbikes are simply too much for anything but a track.

I guess the next thing will be Marc "working for 2026" results in him trying the '24 chassis too then.

The rear ride height device didn't have much suspension travel to play with back then

I'll be extra glad when I see Marc and team in their T shirts with a big fat 9 on now that I know it's putting the finger up to this movement from dorna

Fantastic piece, and I couldn't agree more.
I fear MotoGP is again unnecessarily following F1, where fans don't watch f2/f3 (let's face it, nobody can stay awake that long) because they think that if they copy F1 then it'll make as much money as F1, rather than recognising what they have is better.

Do you know if the new fuels for 2027 will be another factor that reduces engine power?

The next best thing is when there's one major sponsor so they can use the whole bike to make a tidy livery. Worst case scenario is what we get these days, with lots of sponsors so it gets very cluttered.

Not surprising really, it was tacked onto the series as a sort of sideshow and never really promoted. Given it's just production bikes, it's in the wrong paddock in the first place.

Even ten years later that's a can of worms you've opened!

Have you ever been to the "Drielandenpunt"? I had similar thoughts as I put my hand on the concrete post so different fingers were in different countries

I'm picturing competitive organ replacement surgery, with a crowd cheering as they watch two teams compete either side of a screen
