A Rollo will use those.

Did you calibrate it? It needs to learn the label size. Load the labels. Adjust the media guide. Turn off the printer. Hold the button as you turn it on. Release when you hear a beep or the light blinks red. This should feed a label through until it notices the perforations.

We plan on moving there as soon as we’re able.

I wouldn’t trust any .gov site.

I hope someone backs it up quickly.

I imagine someone could write a script and use pipedream to export and import into something else.

How can I fix the damn C++ missing redistributable package issue? Can’t repair because it’s missing. Can’t install new because old is missing. Can’t uninstall because it doesn’t exist. :-/ all due to downgrading from 11 back to 10 (11 barely functioned).

How would you know if something was low effort for the artist though? What’s low effort for you may be extraordinarily difficult for someone else - or may have required a ton of planning and research. Just as we never know what someone is going through, we don’t know where someone’s level is either.

If using alcohol markers do you still want to wait for them to dry or does using them when still wet allow for better blending?

True. It does require a fair amount of diligence. The cost of a Mac with comparable stats to my current machine is very cost prohibitive unfortunately (128 GB RAM / 4 TB). I imagine I could resurrect my 2010 Mac Book Pro for basic coding if needed.

It makes sense to use Flask for smaller or less intensive applications. Django works for that too, but is best for larger more enterprise level applications. Definitely a steeper learning curve with the latter. I consider myself a beginner in React and Node with only around a year with each.

That makes the decision not to switch to Mac easy. I couldn’t give up my 128 GB RAM. Even a refurbished Mac Studio or M2 Ultra is over $5k and 8k respectively to match what I have in my laptop.

COBOL is in high demand with most of the government still running on it and mainframes. Even LaunchCode has started teaching it again.

Natural progression, if you want to go full stack, would be to add HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Typescript, and Node.js. I assume you already have Django knowledge. Python is a great start and a good language to learn especially for MLL.

Couldn’t you do the same in Docker on Windows? I have used both OSes, but have been primarily Windows for personal use and dev. Last place I used a Mac was at Google. Few companies want the expense when you can do the same on Windows with a few additional programs.
