Old enough to know better but still hopeful and optimistic.
Remember I told you about my 100 year Mom? When her tenth child entered elementary school, she went back to college and played tennis. She won a County tennis tournament in singles, doubles and mixed doubles. She was well read and a wonderful conversationalist. I want to be her when I grow up.

I get you. My Mom was a mother of ten. Imagine the chaos of getting ten kids and respectable for church! Imagine putting on a traditional Christmas feast! Imagine having company for Christmas dinner on top of that! My Mom lived to be 100 because having ten kids and Christmas made her tough.

I took math in elementary school where percentages were explained, and Lutnick gets it. He pointed out that Trump doesn't understand the math of percentages. What a maroon.

Dear Guitar Gods: If you won't make it so I can play like Jimi Hendrix, at least let me play like Carlos Santana. ( I can't play guitar like anyone.) Amen.

A man was murdered in a brutal, calculated way. "Things happen" is simply not sufficient. It's insulting and monstrous. If Eric or Don Jr. were killed this way by a terrorist, would we say "things happen?"

I can't stand being out for a hike in the woods and encountering someone with Apple ear buds carrying on a conversation with someone over the phone. You're on a hike, for gosh sakes!

From here in Missoula, they were spectacular. I have seen them green before, but never RED! What a gift!

Americans should never forget: primary elections are a tax-payer funded way for the parties to select their candidates for the general election. If I had my way, the parties would pay something for this publicly funded benefit.(primary elections are not mentioned even ONCE in the Constitution.)

I studied poetry with the late, great Richard Hugo. He advised us when we were stuck on where a poem should go, to "throw in an alligator." Something so unexpected yet so important it demanded its own narrative that would successfully propel the poem. You're welcome.

Plus, he's short. And compensating for it by being the biggest jerk he can be.

He went from rocker to "you kids get off my lawn" pretty completely. The dude hasn't been relevant since 1990.

I have librarians and nurses among my family and friends. I hold both professions in high regard.

A shorter version: Assertion is not Evidence. Just because you say so don't make it so.
