Media and digital literacy are key to disrupting disinformation.

--clapping back/arguing just helps to amplify bad faith accounts & false material

--don't share "funny" disinfo to dunk on it; some will still believe it

--BLOCK, REPORT, and tell others to do same *without* sharing disinfo content
It was inevitable, but it’s still good to be aware that this is happening here, now.

If you see suspicious account/comment, remember: Don’t engage. Don’t argue. Don’t clap back. Don’t screenshot and share. Just block and move on.

Falsified pharmaceutical opioids that look like regular oxycodone pills found to contain strong opioids has now been reported in many countries... we need drug checking and harm reduction, and we also need to make sure that peoplewho need prescription opioids can access them through medical channels

It seems hard to believe that in 2023 we are struggling with basic #naloxone supply in Melbourne, Australia. There are no legal barriers, yet we have a lack of stock and complicated access systems (despite the requirement for a prescription being removed in 2016)... progress is so painfully slow

*New research* from our group - did more people start #opioid agonist #treatment following voluntary or mandatory prescription drug monitoring program #PDMP implementation? We didn't find any change probably for a whole range of reasons, including potentially the lack of access to these treatments.
