I have a hard time believing anyone donating that sum does so out of the goodness of their heart w/o strings attached.

This is also a GREAT argument as to why they should be taxed back to 1950s levels. The ability of the wealthy to donate should not be an easy decision to make over the objections of the people’s “purse”. If they wanna pay for the changes they can also pay the tax bill so we can change it back.

Hands down you have the best explanations of wtf is going on legally in DC I’ve seen.
