this was my own fault. it was a free ps+ game at one point and i was curious how a major first-party launch title like this was overlooked and NOBODY talked about it. the answer turned out to be because it's fucking nothing. it's flavorless. it's nearly minimum video game

Konami Krazy Racers - have a super vivid memory of walking around Publix with my mom playing this on my gba when the gba was new. doesn't feel bad, but doesn't feel great to control either. love the operating system-esque UI and menus though, very charming, and good sprites and music too

Crescent Tower - cute indie jrpg on steam. mix of Final Fantasy 1 (yes, SPECIFICALLY FF *1*) and Etrian Odyssey. every inherent skill can be used both in combat and while exploring dungeons. very cute sprites (if sometimes a little rough around the edges), fun music, simple and to the point

Drakengard 1 - finally trying it out after being an admirer of its soundtrack for probably nigh on a decade. i know the game has a reputation but i'm actually liking it so far (did first ground + first air missions). looking forward to seeing more

ohhh my god that house of the dead 2 remake looks wack. why would anyone want to butcher their lighting and color palettes like this. i complained about Virtua Fighter 5 Ultimate Showdown flattening some of the palettes and lighting from Final Showdown, but that's NOTHING compared to this

sorry for all the dragon ball thoughts. last one i prommy. but something i find funny is some english fans are nowadays aware that in japanese, goku talks like a country bumpkin, but the english dub of the anime doesn't capture that at all. but in the manga they totally tried to do that

always wanted to try making a reasonably-small (and therefore possible to animate and put in scenes and poses and such) pixel art version of my fursona. it's been tough to figure out bc she's kinda got a lot of parts, but i think i got a version that feels cute and readable #pixelart #art
