Veteran, Former Tech/Entertainment/Comic Book executive now onto my final career with a focus on becoming a top healthcare provider for underserved communities in the areas of Aging, Menopause, Neurodegenerative Disease, Gastroenterology, Female TBI
A reasonable accommodation is a written test as the Bar, AMA provides, as to the five tries--you have to pay for each try--it also embedded into the VA and now any LAc has to maintain this cert to treat Veterans. it's a moneygrab with no value while DC's/PT's do a 10 hour course and dry needle.

The NCCAOM does not. I have 100 pages of emails demonstrating they do not as well as 50 current people fighting with them, and about 200 other non-practicing people who gave up because of the NCCAOM. So, yeah, it has to go. It's an elite mafia and an illegal monopoly. Pay them or don't practice.

I come from the perspective of fix the problem and make it better for others. I'm a Combat Veteran, I graduated from UCLA and went to LSE with my Reasonable Accommodations at the top of my class. The Acupuncture Schools and the NCCAOM don't want anyone but perfect rich white people.

I'm not the only person 'bitching about it and there is no obsessing. There are people across the country struggling with dealing with the NCCAOM to just get basic accommodations to take their exam. It's not voluntary, to get a license you have to deal with these people or you don't practice.
July 19, 2025 at 4:46 PM
The NCCAOM lobbied states to enshrine themselves into law, while they left out a critical part that said only we should do Acupuncture. DC's got into it and PT's are lobbying California and the NCCAOM ghosted. You have to pay this mafia to practice in 36 states you don't pay, you can't renew.

When the NCCAOM denys your disability accommodations—as it has done to countless applicants. It has everything to do with what I claim and the numbers show it. Any DC or PT in most states can practice Acupuncture with a 40 hour certificate--while we spend 5 years and have a minimum of 3000 hours.
July 15, 2025 at 7:08 AM
The NCCAOM is racist, and ableist. It denys disability accommodations to candidates. It does zero to protect our profession. The new Chiropractor Act of 2025 will completely gut our profession while allowing these guys to do acupuncture and bill Medicare with a 40 hour certificate.
July 4, 2025 at 5:27 PM
Actually the NCCAOM does nothing but encourage the profession to prey on each other through overpriced PDA's/CEU's. The NCCAOM hates anyone with a disability making it impossible to get licensed, even if you have your degree. You can practice without them by setting up a Private Health Association
June 26, 2025 at 11:01 PM
the NCCAOM used your money to put into place laws that require us to have a doctorate (6 years of training), plus pay them money to take an exam, though they have no legal standing the money goes to six figure salaries to their execs and they should be dismantled as they have no regulatory standing.

I haven't changed my mind, I love the medicine, however, the NCCAOM, a trade association that violates anti-trust rules has gutted the profession. All it has done is put barriers to entry while any DC/PT/ND with a 40-100 hour certificate can run around making fake claims about TCM.

It doesn't matter, I am a National Veteran Advocate and look at VA Healthcare across the country. I just got thrown out of the Acupuncturists for Veterans FB group for calling out scammers who abuse the system and know that's why unqualified MD/ND/DO/DC and PT's are dry needling and injuring us.
April 14, 2025 at 11:00 PM
Let's be clear here--just because you are getting paid by the VA or are treating Veterans that it's the standard for all Veterans and all Acupuncturists who treat Veterans (we aren't animal doctors). I've yet to see a single patient who has been treated by an MD/PT/DC/ND who wasn't injured.
April 12, 2025 at 3:57 AM
The VA is denying Acupuncture across the country and 4 schools have closed with more to follow. Dry needling isn't illegal in most states. MD's/Dentists doing Acupuncture scare me given the damage I've seen done by them..as bad a Chiropractors with 40 hour certificates.
April 9, 2025 at 3:57 AM
Well, here is what is currently happening--PT's MD's, ND's, NP's, DC's are taking 40 hour courses and dry needling in most states. Insurance and the VA are now not allowing anyone but the aforementioned to bill insurance, and schools are closed. NCCAOM renewals are down 35%.
April 3, 2025 at 3:32 AM
Awesome..lovely to meet you. Not sure we'll have a field in another five years but I love the medicine.
April 3, 2025 at 2:55 AM
Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine--class of 2027. In my residency now.
April 3, 2025 at 2:24 AM
You forgot to mention that the meth-head running DOGE is now paying his little minions 6 figure salaries--the same salaries they just fired long time public servant for having, and then handed himself millions more in taxpayer dollars for contracts on his bullshit non-working tech.
March 6, 2025 at 1:13 AM
My patients love me because I've actually helped them get better and not be in pain. When I do my job right, they don't have to come back and visit me, they enjoy their life. If that's being anti-patient--I'm super glad to be so.
February 17, 2025 at 12:25 AM
I'm actually in Medical school. I am in my residency.
February 17, 2025 at 12:21 AM
Those would be actual scientists.
February 17, 2025 at 12:20 AM
We live in the world of people who are not taught how to critically think and believe that celebrities know something--they do not.
February 16, 2025 at 1:40 AM
You are just one of those little trolls that like to find offense with everything or anyone--you're not advocating; you're looking for an argument where there is none. So you can stop now--go bitch at someone else and quit trolling actual medical doctors.
February 16, 2025 at 1:37 AM
You're not advocating; you're angrily attacking anyone who has a suggestion for you--as a Combat Veteran and Patient Advocate you're looking for attention. If you were advocating you would have inquired for more information or studies and I would have happily provided them.
February 10, 2025 at 4:50 PM
It took 20 years to even get one--so yeah 🥲. Keep fighting the good fight.
February 9, 2025 at 8:21 PM
Not trying to 'gin up business' nor am I a dude. So your comments demonostrate you just want to bitch about your condition. I don't need patients. I have more than I have time to schedule and waitlists because I'm actually a better doctor than most MD's because I'm integrative--because Science.
