Together, the Dr. Seuss Foundation and the San Diego Foundation are creating brighter futures for children and families. We are recognizing this partnership and our combined efforts to award $4.7M to support programs that are expected to serve over 94,000 individuals in San Diego.

Thank you Family Health Centers of San Diego for hosting this distribution of the first 7,000 books!

This program enables pediatric offices throughout the county to provide free books for families and a very important prescription: “read aloud to your children.” Through this partnership with Dr. Seuss Enterprises and Dr. Seuss Foundation, 15,000 books will be provided to children in SD County.

Talk, Read, Sing Day 2025 was a hit! 🎉📚 We gathered at the City Heights/Weingart Library for a fun-filled day full of family activities, book giveaways, and visits from some of our favorite characters.

Kids learn through singing, reading, writing, and creating. We collaborated with First 5 San Diego to provide even more ways for parents and caregivers to talk, read, and sing with their little ones. Visit our new hub with resources: first5sandiego.org/dr-seuss/
