In my experience, VCS are present in ALL patients with POTS, and are usually multiple.
For the purposes of this thread this also applies to hEDS and trifecta patients as well.

It occurs when these structures are compressed in the thoracic outlet (the space from the supraclavicular fossa to the axilla) The compression can occur in 3 different areas of the thoracic outlet
1/ Interscalene triangle
2/ Costoclavicular space
3/ Subcoracoid space

When the Left Renal Vein (responsible for returning ~1/8 of the blood volume back to the heart) is compressed bn the Aorta and Superior Mesenteric Artery (SMA). It usually co-occurs with another VCS called SMA compression of the Duodenum (more on this later)

When the Left Common Iliac Artery (which returns all the blood from the left leg and hemipelvis) is compressed bn the Right Common Iliac Artery and the vertebral body.
It also causes symptoms of
-Pelvic congestion syndrome
-Varicose veins in the left leg, scrotum, labia
