A-fish-ionados, I need your help! Please can you help me identify the fish circled in the image? I seem to remember a similar debate on one of @simoninsuffolk.bsky.social 's posts? And maybe @greenleejw.bsky.social could hook me up with some fellow fish fans? More details in next post...

I love Blake so much that I'm always a bit wary to read the latest book about him, but @philiphoare.bsky.social's more than delivers: as lyrical, fantastic and eclectic as the man himself. And he gave me a Behemoth and Leviathan badge when he signed my book at Norwich History Festival 😃

A Roman soldier, mind you, so I'm loving the anachronistic armour! In that sense it does remind me of this image of Edmund performing a posthumous miracle (spearing Sweyn Forkbeard) clad in late medieval armour, but Edmund isn't depicted like this at the time of his martyrdom.

'And the first angel sounded the trumpet and there followed hail'

Preparing to teach a class on medieval signs and wonders and feeling unnerved by the weather 😬

There was such enthusiasm for our tour of Julian of Norwich and Margery Kempe's Norwich that we had to run it three times 🤩 Thanks to our students who joined me for the first two and who were so engaged and asked such great questions.
