Our ferret Charlotte has been blind since birth. But now Charlie, our other ferret who is her bonded partner but not related, has started to develop blindness. Ferrets can go blind for similar reasons as humans, cataracts or diabetes. But I am worried about him. #ferret

I wouldn't consider myself a Swiftie, but I do enjoy Taylor Swift's music, including the new album. But the use of AI is obvious. Ignoring the moral concerns, it just looks bad. I mean, where is this dancer's face??

I think our hamster is pregnant! 🐹 ❤️ 🍼 We started our hamster journey with two female hamsters, but sadly one passed away. My husband @veryquietwhale.bsky.social went to the store to get her some company and came home with a boy hamster! 😧 I was like, 'are you sure?' 'no really are you sure?!' 😆

I am so fortunate to know an amazing artist @monochromemyth.bsky.social who made an illustration of my two ferrets, Charlie and Charlotte. They are a bonded pair and are always cuddling. They are precious and now so is their portrait!

I have been in Indiana for a year and the animal shelters here are always full and euthanizing healthy animals as a result. My level of outrage is growing enough that I am ready to start organizing. I would love any advice. Our pets deserve better. #dogsky #catsky

These were my reads for August. I really like Fable. The clubs introduce me to new books that I wouldn't have picked up on my own but I really enjoyed!

Do you know anyone in Warrick County Indiana? If so, please let them know about this serious funding issue at the animal shelter! There is a terrible need for shelters here in Indiana. We can't lose this one! #dogsky
‼️URGENT PLEASE READ‼️ I just got a phone call from the supervisor at Animal Control with some very alarming news. The County Commisoners informed her that because the County Council has not given Warrick County Animal Control a budget, they are now OUT OF MONEY and NOT ALLOWED TO MAKE PURCHASES!!!! That means WCAC has NO MONEY to purchase food, litter, or supplies for the animals!!!! They also told her that WCAC is NOT ALLOWED to accept owner surrenders! They don't even want WCAC to accept STRAYS!! PEOPLE NOW IS THE TIME TO MAKE YOUR VOICE HEARD!! THE COUNTY COUNCIL MEETING IS SEPT 2! Until then, PLEASE MAKE SURE TO GIVE THEM A CALL, WRITE THEM AN EMAIL... All of the Members and their information is listed here! Just scroll down to the drop down for each district and at-large member! https://www.warrickcounty.gov/county-council The animals are the ones that are going to suffer 💔. Until then, donations of supplies (NOT MONEY) will be very helpful!!! -dry dog/cat food -wet dog/cat food -litter -treats for dogs and kitties (no rawhide please) -paper towels -hand soap -Pro-Vet Logic kennel cleaner -cleaning supplies We also need to focus on getting these babies OUT OF THE SHELTER. I wasn't allowed video games growing up, but I also went to the Boy & Girls Club after school and all summer. They had a computer lab where I loved to play these 90s games, Prince of Persia and Oregon Trail.
