Wasn't it to do with defining a mansion and accurate values or something. Cost of valuation & appeals at the margin make it too costly vs revenue. You may as well do a full revaluation for CT at that point.

So wait, ministerial approval to overturn any local planning authority rejection of >150 homes without the planning inquiry?

Agree, and London being all ups in 2026 makes that quicker. But other metropolitan boroughs where you'd expect Greens to do well, being on thirds, means it takes time to build the base. For the LDs, many of the gains were in seats with PPCs who had been working for many years on getting elected.

The Greens have 4 seats where they need less than a 10% swing. Lib Dems have 37.
FWIW we see former Labour voters identifying unpromted as Lib Dems. So a large swing away from Labour is possible, but I expect resource contraints and electoral reality will kick in closer to a GE.

I think it’s as simple as “I don’t want to admit that my election strategy was flawed” and everything else is working backwards from that.

The retail sale could be restricted to just low noise and only F1/F2 fireworks.

My son wouldn't go to an organised display as he finds the noise and the crowds overwhelming.

He did love a few low noise fountains & catherine wheels with family, in his cousins back garden though.

I guess the option is the 192.

I don't think they're planning to maintain capacity, at all.

Erm, I hear all trains from the south will terminate in the new Berlin.

Loosening licensing rules will increase alcohol harm and means fewer protections for communities – especially in already‑vulnerable areas.

We encourage other organisations and individuals to share responses too.

Don’t let industry influence outweigh the needs of the public.

Asked whether council elections next year will all go ahead and not be delayed, the Minister says the Government wants that to happen. Is that a yes? I'm not sure.

It's arguably more carbon intensive than driving a family car.

Just to be clear, *Southport* is the place in the North West that had riots.

Stockport is the "new Berlin".

Amazing the amount of people who get this wrong.

The metrolink extension came up in the LA searches for my house purchase in Hazel Grove earlier this year.
