I love my C-Class Coupe. So there.

It doesn’t in Dalkeith. Or Edinburgh. Or Fife. Or Aberdeen. Maybe in some select areas of Dundee.

Er. No it doesn’t.

You can’t patent fire, only the method for creating it. And the quid pro quo for getting exclusivity to your invention for 20 years is to teach everyone else about it. Seems like a good deal.

I'm with the meteorologists on this one.

Forgive the straight-laced response, but that's an awesome photo!

See Great Shelford’s response to the EWR consultation that makes this point. None of these plans are consistent with each other. It’s intolerable that we’re being asked to comment on plans that cannot possibly work together and therefore can’t be in the final form.

I don’t know anyone who can get anywhere close to 1 hp. 746 Watts? You’re having a laugh.

I honestly don't think most people give a stuff. BA is changing it's scheme so the people who spend most get the rewards, not those who game the system. Seems reasonable.

Haggis is easy to buy all year round. Some butchers have already had that idea. Halls and MacSween's usually.

Easy! Treasure Island. Also featuring Long John Silver and the Admiral Benbow inn.

Chill. I have a PhD in physics, I really, really do understand these things. Induction is not a new concept.

New and cool technologies come up all the time. Just because they work in the lab, it often (at least 9 times out of 10) doesn't translate to the real world. This is a hard application.
December 11, 2024 at 6:52 PM
Unless you wired every road, you still need the same batteries in your car for when you aren’t over induction loops.

This is nice in theory, but wholly impractical.
December 11, 2024 at 6:38 PM
That's just the transfer efficiency at the final stage.

You also need to factor in transmission losses which are considerable. Also there's the sunk carbon of digging up the roads and fitting the cabling, which will also be expensive to repair when they inevitably break. Batteries better.

It's a load of crap most likely drawn by someone who has looked at a map in an office rented by a think tank on Tufton Street. Who gives these people a voice?

South Park. Every day of the week and twice on Sundays.

Aye. Because Scotland is a hotbed of disaffected gammons. Not.

Are you still drunk?

The Empire Strikes Back has entered the chat.

God played for Aberdeen already under the nomme de plume Willie Miller. Being omniscient, you already knew that.

There's an asterisk missing in that headline.
