If Smith does ride off into the sunset, I wonder if we'll look at FA-to-be Nick Cross from IND? He's a 24-year-old, former third-round pick from 2022 out of Maryland, with 3 sacks, 120 tackles, and 1 interception in 2025.

We cut Nahshon Wright, traded Mekhi Blackmon, and now waived Dwight McGlothern. So if he leaves and does well, will it put Daronte Jones, the DB coach, on the hot seat? Or is this more on Brian Flores and Kwesi? I know when the O-line was struggling, I wanted Chris Kuper gone. Who gets the blame?

Vikings signed O-Lineman Matt Nelson, waived DL Alexander William.
Nelson out of Iowa and undrafted in the 2019 class appeared in 43 games and started 14 from 2020-23 with the Lions. He was with the NYG in 2024 before being cut in August.
William joined as an UDFA in this year's draft.

I wonder if Eric Kendricks could have one last run in Purple. 138 tackles, 3 sacks 3 FF and 2 Ints last year with Cowboys so Im sure he has some left in the tank.

With the New England Patriots releasing Ja'Whaun Bentley, would there be interest from Minnesota? He overlapped with Brian Flores his rookie year in 2018. It would not count against the compensatory pick. He missed all but two games last year, so he might come pretty cheap.
