Absolutely. All these technologies are launched for testing by us as precursors to the 'self-driving' future nobody in the car industry actually believes in, but which the tech bros have convinced the powers that be is the future. However, any vehicle not controlled by the driver is not a car.

I am still caught out by lane keeping systems on hire cars every time. When the car forces me into oncoming traffic I realise I have to switch off that highly dangerous technology. Self driving 'cars' are a different thing; a public transport mode of sorts, not a car.
