The real cost of healthcare is about $1.5T for the US. Healthcare in the US costs about 3 times anywhere civilised and all that extra cost is insurance costs (insurers fighting to avoid paying anything, healthcare and patients fighting to get coverage they are entitled to). That’s about $5k vs $15k.
