Cory Booker over his support of Israel during the war in Gaza and found something that personally irks myself and many other members of the press: Some politicians refuse to answer a yes-or-no question, and with Booker there's a particular way he refuses to answer a straight question that frustrates. Here's the first part of that exchange: Jennifer Welch (host): "Do you think he's a war criminal, Benjamin Netanyahu? Do you think he's a war criminal?" Booker: "I, again, these are questions that a lot of people think are the important litmus tests that are loaded and hot. My urgency is to be an effective leader in bringing an end to this crisis. And I get these questions all the time that, to me, undermine my urgency." It undermines his urgency, ladies!!! Welch then expressed frustration that the Democratic Party's leaders don't answer yes-or-no questions, even on that particularly loaded topic. Booker interrupted her to say this: "Here's the yes-or-no that you want. Do I think Netanyahu's worse than Trump? Yes." You should listen to the whole segment. I look forward to the next time Booker gives a reporter from New Jersey 40 minutes of his time (lol).

Someone should really tell all the small children getting turned into roadkill by their own parents that they need to look both ways.

"Things have changed" since the March vote, Schumer said in an interview with The Associated Press on Thursday. He said Republicans have since passed Trump's massive tax brea's and spending cuts legislation, which trimmed Medicaid and other government programs, and Democrats are now unified - unlike in March, when he voted with Republicans and Jeffries voted against legislation to fund the government.

WASHINGTON - Tribal radio stations that are supposed to receive millions in funding to fill the hole created when Congress eliminated funding for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting haven't heard anything from the Trump administration about when it will send the money or how much in grants they'll receive. Unlike most government spending deals, the handshake agreement South Dakota Republican Sen. Mike Rounds negotiated with the White House budget director in exchange for Rounds' vote on the rescissions bill wasn't placed in the legislation, so it never became law. Instead, Rounds is trusting the Trump administration to move $9.4 million in funding from an undisclosed account to more than two dozen tribal radio stations in rural areas of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Minnesota, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, South Dakota and Wisconsin that receive community service grants from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
