While a lack of toilets on these trains is a big issue we would urge Iarnród Éireann to remedy this by opening toilets at all stations on the line.

We would ask everyone in Drogheda to also contact their councillors about these stations. Together we can make Drogheda a better place to live in, work in, and commute in.

For the past year we haven’t seen either of these stations working, including during events such as the Leinster Fleadh when there was increased footfall in the town. This is especially poor as one of them is next to the local tourism office!

Additionally we have written to all councillors, and Louth County Council to request the upkeep of the existing water refill stations we have on George’s Street and at the corner of West Street and Shop Street.

We have written to all local councillors and TFI to request a water refill station is installed at Drogheda Bus Station as soon as possible, to allow even more commuters to benefit from free drinking water, and end our reliance on overpriced plastic bottles of water from vending machines.
