Not so sure about the Lucy Powell bit.. But then I've totally given up on Labour after 45 years of support. I don't think I shall ever go back there.

I'll have to take your word for it. For some reason I have a big barrier against books that have landed gentry, and aristocrats in them. I know I should get over it for some literary works.

Yes I was going to say Jane Austen mentions baseball somewhere but I don't know which novel because I'm afraid I've never managed to read any of them! I've tried many times but failed miserably.
