American hunger and financial ruin, TB and AIDS around the world, measles here, Ukrainian deaths, etc. Someone should maybe start a Trump Regime Death Count kind of like the covid statistics from five years ago.
Tuberculosis, the deadliest infectious disease on the planet, kills more than 1.25M people a year. New infections are expected to surge by 30% as a result of closing USAID, a memo says. The increase will inevitably lead to cases in the U.S.
Internal Memos: Senior USAID Leaders Warned Trump Appointees of Hundreds of Thousands of Deaths From Closing Agency
One million children will go untreated for severe malnutrition, up to 166,000 people will die from malaria and 200,000 more children will be paralyzed by polio over the next decade, the memos…

DoGE is quite possibly the least efficient entity in government

Is the bromance between the felon and elon starting to show some cracks?

Economic uncertainty (monthly average) in the US is higher now than at any other point in the last 40 years that was not the beginning of a global pandemic. Higher now than the Great Recession, higher than following 9/11, higher than at any point in any of our wars

Warren: "Our best strategy is to make sure everybody knows exactly what the Republicans are trying to do, and that is they want to give literally trillions of dollars in tax cuts to millionaires and billionaires, and they want to pay for it on the backs of seniors who are living in nursing homes."

In his 1690 Second Treatise on Government, John Locke noted that when a leader disregards constitutional order, he gives up legitimacy and the people are justified in treating him as a “thief and a robber.”
Sounds like someone we all know

Looks like Canadians are in agreement: they want absolutely nothing to do with Trump. Not even for thousands of dollars

Suppose your bathtub/shower has a small leak, leaving a small puddle on the bathroom tile floor. Trump and Musk’s solution is to take a sledgehammer to the tub, leaving you with no tub or shower, then claim they fixed the leak and saved you future $$ because you can’t shower anymore

Now both Musk and Bannon, leaders in the conservative movement, have made Nazi salutes in public as part of speeches. Hopefully those people who voted for Trump because of some sort of misguided views on the economy are starting to realize their mistake. Also, egg prices at a new high

Is everyone willing to admit that project 2025 was the plan the whole time and they lied, saying they knew nothing about it?

Still no fraud found by DOGe. We used to have inspectors general who actually found fraud prior to Trump firing them. www.pbs.org/newshour/pol...

Elon Musk and President Donald Trump say they have uncovered massive "fraud" in the federal government. But the projects the White House points to are largely ones that the administration disagrees wi...

Reading a high school quiz bowl tournament all day is exhausting. Reading over 100 pages out loud to a room full of people would have been my nightmare growing up, and now it’s a fun yet tiring Saturday

The international exam used to compare reading and math scores for country rankings is the PISA. Guess which exam was just axed in the US by DOGE? Trump has been lying about previous results for months, but now that we won’t have a score, he can say that we are last

How would Elon Musk be behaving differently if he was a Nazi?

Very clear conflicts of interest. I found the fraud and abuse! Boycott Musk’s companies. Sell your Tesla stock now before it completely tanks

Trump hasn’t learned anything from what happened when he negotiated with the Taliban in Afghanistan without including the Afghan government. Now he’s doing the same thing with Russia in Ukraine, plus he’s publicly giving away concessions like NATO membership and the borders. Horrible negotiator

When they say “FRAUD, WASTE, AND ABUSE” they apparently just mean money was spent to help minorities and/or poor people. Still no actual examples of fraud or abuse, so they must mean it’s a waste to spend money to help non-billionaires

They axed the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, which is responsible for protecting us (the little guy) from big banks, payday lenders, foreclosure services, debt collectors, and for-profit colleges. Can you think of any president who got sued for running a corrupt for-profit college?
