That is actually already useful info!! LSJ is giving yard arm for bits which it sounds like from Pollux are better rendered as just ‘yard’! Thank you!!! As for the meeting point I suspect this is one of those questions only a seance with Pollux could answer 😂

I’ve just transliterated it and I am unhappy with this solution.

I’m very stuck on the name for the point where the mast and the yard-arm meet. Pollux calls it the ἄμβολα or ξύμβολα and the latter I kinda get cos it refers to something which comes in two corresponding halves but WTF is ἄμβολα and how in the name of all that is holy would one translate it?!

Probably not, since it’s a sort of encyclopaedia of everything! ‘Not my niche I’ll leave it to someone who knows more than me’ is not Pollux’s vibe 😂

Pretty certain everyone involved (myself included) would be deported by Katie Lam.

It is truly shocking that this so called growth government wants to shrink one of the country’s most successful sectors. Except it’s not because I have ceased to be surprised by the total failure (moral, strategic, ideological, bureaucratic… just in all the categories) of this utter shower of a govt
