Can you imagine us Huntly boys smoking weed and listening to this back in the day

We visited the American Cemetery near Omaha Beach today - it’s a magnificent and moving tribute to the anti-Fascist values and sacrifice of those who lie there. The current US leadership is shitting all over those. It is appalling.

Spotted one for Winston near Bayeux

Spotted this gorgeous creature today in Vitre - my fingers were a-twitchin’, that’s for sure - she was just crying out for “House of the rising sun” 🎹

Spotted this yesterday in Bourgogne’s largest wine cellar - and that was before the tasting

Here’s a couple of pictures I took at UNAM in 2020 of a sculpture called “Ozzie visits the Alamo”

Unusual to see a game with so few of the triple word squares used - a couple of bingos helped, though

Time for the 3-year service of the E61 group head - easier to take it apart than to reassemble it, though. I fluked it again - thanks to YouTube and Berry Roasters

This eyesore from over the hill has materialised on our corner, inconsiderately parked so as to be a traffic hazard - it blocks the turning driver’s view of oncoming traffic. On the bright side, it does look flammable…

Having a clean-out and found this - check out the cost of a Six Nations ticket in 1987 - probably 100 times that now, and England are still playing boring rugby. France won 19-15 that day, 2 tries to none. Some things don’t change

I have a Microsoft Outlook problem - these people I have never heard of sent me a recurring invitation back in December and I can’t get rid of it. Every evening I get a reminder, and it’s really irritating. I have tried emailing them but get no response. Any good ideas out there?

This is a sign put up in Balmacewen Rd a few months ago by our city council: it’s positioned too high for pedestrians; font too small for drivers; and it’s uninformative to anyone who did read it - there’s no start or finish date. Someone had one job to do, and this is what we got 😅

Thanks for this! We have it on the wall in our bedroom, and I have always wondered what it said. My wife’s parents got it overseas many years ago

Playing my way through some of my old music just now and I came across this great tempo instruction from Fats Waller 😅

Finally, after literally decades of being prompted on this point, the HRC has realised it needs some oral health research expertise on its assessing committees. Too late for them and for me, since I have retired, but let’s hope it augurs well for others. Too many shit decisions in the past

To the clearly ill woman in seat A in our row on flight NZ120 from Melbourne to Auckland last Thursday, THIS is why they ask you not to fly if you are unwell. Very generous of you - we’d managed to avoid it for nearly 5 years…

Spent a great afternoon hiking round Dove Lake at Cradle Mountain - a more strenuous trek awaits tomorrow.

I fluked this arty shot with my phone on Maria Island (TAS) last weekend

Went to an auto show here in Dunedin last weekend and saw this little beauty - a Subaru kei van done up to look like a Kombi. Want!
