I think it's helpful in the Museum world, too. Which, I must emphasise, is not how it should be--personally I think curatorial skills can be learned on the job. But I've certainly found that doors have started to open for me since I got my PhD in a way they never did before.

I've shared this before and I'll share it again...yes, I had to cite this book in my thesis. I think I got away with cutting off the title after 'etc. etc.' 😂

To be fair, this would be really useful! Unfortunately I suffer from tennis elbow, so holding a book up can be quite uncomfortable (especially if it's a hardback!). But I also get tension headaches, so putting them down on a table is no good, either... 😕

(No, maybe I'm being to cynical. Maybe those poor old Reform voters CAN'T work because immigrants have stolen their jobs...🙃)
