Visiting the National Maritime Museum in Greenwich today together with colleagues from the Port Cities and Urban Cultures research centre. Always nice to get away from the office, talk about research, and discuss collaborations with museum curators.

In #Tuebingen for a conference on the complexities and dynamics of #neighbourhoods, presenting on #sailortown. Lots of interesting papers from all over the globe - from techno music in Downtown Detroit to residential segregation in Lagos to activism in Mumbai.

Finished a day of networking with a visit to the SHE_SEES exhibition at Boathouse 4 at the @phdockyard.bsky.social. The exhibition features research from my brilliant colleague @drmelbassett.bsky.social. A really interesting exhibition - definitely worth a visit!

My students were recreating historic landmarks and events with Lego in this week's seminar. Talking about the models in front of other students was a great and fun way to develop presentation skills. I present: The Berlin Wall, the moon landing & a pyramid.
