The irony of putting a “Please Do Not Touch” label on items that colonisers should never have touched in the first place. The wildly different reactions and emotions people experience in these heritage spaces… @nationaltrust.org.uk @englishheritage.bsky.social

Particularly wonderful to tell the story of Jamaican heiress Elizabeth Vassall, whose family papers are in the British Library archives - the Jamaican materials really need a proper catalogue to help make them more accessible to Caribbean historians…
