I'm definitely seeing a lot of worrying stories, and American friends are terrified of me flying in. Will not stop being vocal against Trump/Musk mind, couldn't remotely support what they are doing. I also realised shoes I was going to wear have rainbow laces and my lanyard etc has pride pins..

I have flights booked to go to Miami for a conference on 1st April. It's paid for by American collaborators on a teaching project we all worked on. It's going to be interesting.

I was quite entranced and became rather emotional on seeing it through a microscope the first time!

They know me well enough to tolerate. One of my immediate neighbours is so proud of his perfect lawn, mine sits next to it overgrown, a mess and full of life.
